Minnesota Chorale Presents Mozart Requiem Sing-along

Our first choir event of the Spring Semester will be participating in a Sing-along with the Minnesota Chorale of the beautiful Mozart Requiem. This work is performed and beloved by choirs all over the world.

We will have no time to prepare this piece before joining in the sing-along, but do not worry – while the work is difficult, you will be surrounded by experienced singers, and are free to sing or just listen. Bask in the sounds of the singers surrounding you while spending time in one of the most beautiful buildings in the Metro Area – the Landmark Center.

I know that you have questions and hopefully I have the answers:

When is it? January 27th at 3:00. Running time is about 2 hours.
Where is it? The Landmark Center in Downtown St Paul. Your choir leadership will be contacting you with information regarding car-pooling, bus transportation and so on. But, it is your responsibility to get there – this is not optional, but required participation for all choir members – whether registered for credit or not.

Here is a link to the directions: http://www.landmarkcenter.org/visit/visit.htm

How do I get music? Some loaner scores will be available to borrow at the event. If you have your own score, please bring it. Also, if you would like to download and print your own copy, here is a link to do that legally: http://petrucci.mus.auth.gr/imglnks/usimg/2/20/IMSLP16973-Mozart-RequiemVS.pdf

Can I bring friends and family? Please do. I will try to soon have a postcard of some kind that you can share with friends and family, post to facebook and so on.

In the meantime, here is a description that you can share with whomever you think might be interested:
