Dear Choir Members,
Our first choir event of the Spring Semester will be participating in a Sing-along with the Minnesota Chorale of the beautiful Fauré Requiem. This work is performed and beloved by choirs all over the world.
We will have no time to prepare this piece before joining in the sing-along, but do not worry – while the work has some challenges, you will be surrounded by experienced singers, and are free to sing or just listen. Bask in the sounds of the singers surrounding you while spending time in the fabulous acoustics of Hamline United Methodist Church.
Even better, you get to see your conductor in her Minnesota Chorale glitz.
I know that you have questions and hopefully I have the answers:
When is it? January 28th from 4:00 – 6:30.
Where is it? Hamline Church, 1514 Englewood Avenue Saint Paul, MN 55104. I will talk to you all tomorrow about the possibility of some car pooling, but know it is your responsibility to get there – this is not optional, but required participation for all choir members – whether registered for credit or not.
How do I get music? Some loaner scores will be available to borrow at the event. If you have your own score, please bring it.
Can I bring friends and family? Please do. And feel free to share on FB, Twitter, etc.
